Entrancer Bio:

Entrancer is the electronic project of Denver based improviser and synthesist Ryan McRyhew. Renowned for crafting complex, immersive soundscapes that blur the lines between experimental techno and long form ambient music, the project represents a deep exploration of human+machine interaction.

Initially debuting as Thug Entrancer, McRyhew garnered widespread critical acclaim with two formative, highly successful LPs on Daniel Lopatin’s (Oneohtrix Point Never) Software Recording Co.: 2014’s Death After Life and 2016’s Arcology. Shortening the moniker to Entrancer to reflect a matured artistic vision, McRyhew has continued pushing sonic boundaries with compelling subsequent releases on respected labels like Obsolete Future (UK) and Multidim Records (CO).

Central to the Entrancer ethos is a sophisticated approach to live electronic production and hardware improvisation. Utilizing a versatile setup of hardware synthesizers, McRyhew constructs hypnotic, evolving environments; resulting in a distinct sonic architecture tailored perfectly for forward-thinking music lineups.
